FAQ
Answer to Frequently Asked Questions
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. PT Gyros are flying in Canada, Belgium, Finland, Switzerland and England. Please email prior to ordering so we can calculate shipping and packing.

What payment methods are accepted?
PayPal is preferred. We will also accept a cashier's check or money order in advance. All prices are in U.S. Dollars.

What is the recommended engine size for the 1/2a PT Gyro?
The PT Gyro is designed around the Norvel .074. There are PT's flying successfully with a AP .09, AP .15 and an OS .15. For the heavier engines the battery pack may have to be moved aft of the pylon.

What size radio gear is recommended for the PT Gyro?
Any dual conversion mini receiver and servos. We use the Hitec 555 receiver and the Hitec HS81MG servos for pitch and roll and the HS55 for throttle and rudder. We also use a Sanyo 720 NiMH battery pack.

Are metal gear servos required? What's the deal?
Metal gear servos are not required but, highly recommended. The PT Gyro will fly fine without the MG servos. We recommend them in the case of a blade strike on the ground. Nylon gears will eventually strip during a blade strike or tip-over. We have never stripped a MG servo in many flight hours of use.

How I do setup the travel direction of the pitch and roll servos?
Set it up like an airplane. Tilt left to go left, right to go right. Tilt aft to go up and forward to go down.
